Work and health safety fair

Focus on work wear, ergonomics and safety at work. Up to 10,000 visitors expected

Hamburg is to host the upcoming Arbeitsschutz Aktuell fair focussing on health and safety at work from October 11-13, 2016. Christoph Hinte, Managing Director of the HINTE Messe- und Ausstellungs-GmbH, which is organising the fair, noted: “Hamburg and its extraordinarily dynamic economic structure, the attractiveness of the location for exhibitors, visitors and delegates and the catchment area in north Germany and Scandinavian region make it a top venue for Arbeitsschutz Aktuell. In the past years, the fair has attracted over 1,000 congress delegates and around 10,000 visitors in changing host cities.”

Health management at work facing challenges

Companies are set to present their latest products and services for a rapidly changing labour market at Arbeitschutz Aktuell. This year’s focus is on work wear, ergonomics and safety at work. One module at the fair called jobfit.aktuell offers exhibitors and service providers a forum. Against the backdrop of demographic change and a looming shortage of professionals, this module aims to encourage mid-sized companies and give information on health management in companies.

New technological worlds, digitalisation and networking

A three-day congress will be held under the theme “Ist Arbeitsschutz noch aktuell?”(Is protection at work still topical?) and parallel to the fair. Topics on the agenda include a culture of prevention, mental stress at work and developments in workplaces. Around 120 speakers will discuss these issues in 16 thematic blocks with delegates. The congress will also highlight a prevention campaign by the German Statutory Accident Insurance Association (DGUV) under the theme “Kultur der Prävention” (Culture of Prevention). The focus will also be on challenges arising from new technological worlds, digitalisation and networking.
