Startups@Reeperbahn on the lookout for pitch, prize money, and investment candidates

Once again, five startups will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas at this year's Reeperbahn Festival. Meetings with investors await - along with the chance at 100,000 euros in prize money.

More than 60 investors and investment managers are expected at this year’s Startups@Reeperbahn event erwartet, where five startup finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their projects. The winner of the Startups@Reeperbahn pitch can look forward to 100,000 euros and plenty of new contacts. The event is jointly operated by Hamburg Startups and the Reeperbahn Festival, and candidates have until 23 August to apply.

Making contact in the Lovemobile

The prize money has been donated by Spiegel Online gestiftet and can be used as a media budget for the startup project. But it’s not just the first prize that is designed to attract young entrepreneurs from all over Europe; this year, once again, founders can present their ideas to various investors in so-called “Lovemobiles”, developing a network of contacts for future partnerships.

Submission requirements

The jury for the Spiegel Online media prize includes CEO Katharina Borchert and Chris Barton, co-founder of the Shazam mobile app. The pitch itself will take place on 23 September, and submissions will be accepted up to one month before this date.
