On 23 September, the Klubhaus St. Pauli will officially open its doors at St Pauli’s Spielbudenplatz. However, the first venue of the new in-location has already been inaugurated back in June: Theater Schmidtchen. Now, the entire complex has been completed. Covering six floor, the new club house not only integrates music clubs and restaurants, but also offers office space for companies of the advertising, creative and music industry.
Attractive Advertising Space
An impressive feature of the new club house is its huge media façade. Covered by LED panels, it allows to display advertising or artistic lighting and video installations. Operators of the club house are the shareholders Corny Littmann, Prof. Norbert Aust, Axel Strehlitz, Rainer Blohm and Mathias Leßmann. The club house and its media façade were designed by the Hamburg architects Kamps Akyol: BBP Architects.
Venue of the Reeperbahn Festival
The club house opened just in time for Reeperbahnfestivals, and not without reason: the new location is used as a venue for the exhibition “Ten”, showcasing Reeperbahn Festival’s history over the first decade at the second floor.
