Meteorites and jewellery on show at "Mineralien Hamburg"

400 exhibitors with unique objects and exhibits expected at world's fourth largest minerals fair

Around 400 exhibitors are expected at Mineralien Hamburg underway in Hamburg’s fairgrounds from December 7-9, 2018. Every year in the pre-Christmas period, fascinating unique specimens, beautiful jewellery, fossils millions of years old are among the exhibits at the world’s largest mineral exchange and northern Europe’s largest jewellery fair.

New exhibitors and special shows

Commenting on the response so far, Michael Arfmann, Project Manager at Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH, said: “More than 80 per cent of the exhibition space has already been booked. That’s a nice result.” The fair has also attracted new exhibitors and their products. Several vivid shows will be held featuring precious finds and select objects.

Lectures and expert service

Precious gemstones from past centuries can be admired in the special show “Saxony’s Treasures”. Saxony’s rank and splendour among the European princely courts was based mainly on the wealth of mineral resources in Erzgebirge. For many years, the lecture forum with its instructive contributions has been a visitor magnet. An expert service is available for all those, who want to have their jewellery and gems valued.
