Founders and would-be start-ups can consult Hamburg’s Initiative for the Self-Employed (Hamburger ExistenzgründungsInitiative) and the Chamber of Commerce on March 25, 2017 on how to set up a business. Jörg Finnern, Manager of Bürgschaftsgemeinschaft Hamburg, noted: “The first steps towards self-employment often require courage, stamina and a high degree of self-motivation. The flood of information and offers for young founders can be intimidating. Thus, we are delighted to be offering an event such as the Hamburger Gründertag, which has for years brought all the important contact persons together in one place and on the same day. That allows us and our partners to promote start-ups in the Hanse city alongside our everyday business.”
Online marketing and social media for start-ups
Around 60 exhibitors including founders’ initiatives, advice centres, associations, banks, start-ups, chambers as well as colleges and universities will be on hand in the Chamber of Commerce to give advice. Experts and entrepreneurs will give keynotes and hold panel discussions focusing on the planning and realisation phases of setting up a business. Topics such as financing, marketing and sales, law, taxes, customer acquisition and controlling will be on the agenda as well as franchises, take-overs, online marketing and social media for founders.
Networking with nationwide starts-ups
The 22nd Hamburger Gründertag offers a venue for interacting with successful founders from all over Hamburg and Germany. Bella la Donna, a burlesque artist, Peer-Arne Böttcher, Manager of AIRY GreenTech GmbH that produces and sells an innovative plant system for clean air, as well as the furniture designer Hanjo Bergeest of Habedesign will also be attending the event. All delegates are invited to a get-together at 5 pm.
