Hamburg gets vintage car fair

First Hamburg Motor Classic in 2017 - focus on automobile culture and lifestyle in October

Next year will see several fairs debuting at the Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH (HMC) beginning with the home² highlighting property, construction and renovating from January 27-29, 2017 followed by the classic car fair, Hamburg Motor Classics, from October 13-15, 2017. Commenting Thursday (October 20th) on the new fairs, Bernd Aufderheide, Chairman of the Management Board of HMC, said: “I think our new fairs will attract and excite many people. The themes are quite substantial and highly emotional.”

Many classic car fans in Hamburg

The conditions for hosting Hamburg Motor Classics in the city could hardly be better, according to Aufderheide. Hamburg has the second highest number of classic cars and youngtimers of all German cities and demand is booming. Positive feedback from potential exhibitors and an apparent market gap had prompted the decision for initiating the fair. He added: “Hamburg and its many classic car collectors and dealers as well as modern fairgrounds in the city centre make it ideal for such a high-calibre and fascinating fair.”

All about world of classic cars

The Hamburg Motor Classics is targeting lovers, collectors, admirers and potential buyers of classic cars. Well-known dealers, restorers and specialists in historic rare cars will showcase high-calibre oldtimers, youngtimers, classic motorcycles in addition to parts and accessories. Experts as well as financial and insurance consultants will be on hand to advise about potential purchases. Accessories, literature, art and vintage toys will be on show as well.
