The European Congress for Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) opened Monday (June 3, 2019) in Eindhoven, the Netherlands under the motto “Fulfilling ITS promises”. Hamburg is presenting its latest mobility projects as it gears up to host the ITS World Congress 2021. Around 3,500 visitors, 1,200 delegates and 150 exhibitors from 50 countries are attending the congress, which lasts until June 6, 2019.
ITS strategy, fields of action and projects
Autonomous driving, e-mobility and integrated public mobility services are just some of the issues in the industry. Now, Hamburg is getting trade visitors in the mood for its three main topics: “We move people”, “We move the city” and “We move goods”. During the congress, particular emphasis will be on Hamburg’s ITS strategy, its ongoing projects and fields of action. Visitors also have an opportunity to become interactively involved through a touch table and survey.
Mobility of the future in Hamburg
“We are showing European experts that we are warming up for the world congress in our city,” said Harry Evers, Managing Director of ITS Hamburg 2021 GmbH. Hamburg is demonstrating sustainable mobility solutions and becoming a model for intelligent traffic and transport systems with many urban projects on automated driving, digital parking or the MIOA project.
