Experts discussed the opportunities of Industry 4.0, digital revolution and the future of work under the theme “Digital Revolution as a Chance” at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH) on Wednesday (November 30).
Experts from science and practice
Questions on the agenda included what happens when production is intertwined with the latest means of communication and information and what repercussions will it have on the economy, society and individuals? What will production look like in future? Will the value added chain change? Experts such as Norbert Basler, founder and CEO of Basler AG, a producer of 3D industrial cameras, Prof. Thorsten Schüppstuhl, Head of the TUHH institute for Aircraft and Production Technology and Prof. Bernd Christian Renner, who heads the TUHH work group smartPORT and Prof. Christoph Ihl, Academic Director of the Business Incubator took part in the discussion.
Student to receive incentive prize
An incentive prize worth EUR 1,500 was presented to Etienne Müller, a Masters student at TUHH. He has already headed the aerodynamic department at the TUHH Formula student group “e-gnition” that was behind the Clean Mobility Award ECO design. Last year, Müller set up his own company called Slive with a scholarship from the Nissen Foundation. This year, he has established a work group that helps students make contact with Hamburg’s start-up scene.
