Internorga specials in 2018

The Craft Beer Arena and Newcomers’ Area have already paved the way and the Craft Spirit Lounge is likely to prove a crowd puller this year. Emphasis will be on hand-crafted spirits e.g. gin and whisky, fruit spirits and vodka. It provides a stylish setting for connoisseurs and everyone with a passion for fine, distilled products. Internorga and Grill-Kontor Hamburg will also be presenting the latest trends in barbecuing and grilling in the Grill & BBQ Court with tastings and live-demonstrations.

This year, exhibitors from Germany and abroad will be presenting their latest products in the Newcomers’ Area. The 20 newcomers include Print2Taste start-up that will present its 3D food printing system. Other presenters include the Papa Türk and Bone Brox start-ups, who appeared earlier on the VOX TV show for founders “The Lion’s Den”. The presentations will be enhanced by a huge supporting programme, congresses with international speakers, awards and side-events.

Internorga awards

The Internorga “future prize” will be also presented for forward-looking products in four categories. The award in the category ”Trendsetter Company – Handcraft” goes to bakeries, confectioneries or butchers using traditional production procedures with sustainable ideas and technologies. The “Trendsetter Product – Food and Drinks” are open only to exhibitors at Internorga. The award in the “Trendsetter Product – Technology & Equipment” category goes to intelligent solutions that use energy and materials efficiently.

The “Gastronomy Start-up Contest”, sponsored by Internorga and the Leaders Club, and the “Gastro Prize for Start-ups, backed by orderbird, are being merged this year and will be renamed “German Gastro Prize for Start-ups”. Five finalists will have an opportunity to pitch their business models at the upcoming Internorga fair. Voters choose a winner per app. All the finalists receive prizes worth a total of EUR 50,000 while the first-prize winner can expect additional prizes.
