High-calibre speakers at NEXT18 digital conference

Two-day NEXT Conference turns Hamburg's Reeperbahn into Europe's digital hotspot

Europe’s NEXT digital festival will see 1,500 decision-makers, opinion leaders and creative minds come together at the Hamburg Reeperbahn Festival from September 20-21, 2018 to mull interdisciplinary solutions for more humane technologies under the motto “Digital Fix – Fix Digital”. The festival focuses on people-related innovations, humanity-orientated design, socially relevant topics, technology trends and their impact on people.

Blockchain in music sector

This year’s high-calibre speakers include Imogen Heap, Grammy winner and CEO of the Featured Artists Coalition that aims to bring blockchain technology to the music business. Their Mycelia project uses blockchain to tap the potential of the creative sector and to link up musicians with their audiences. Another speaker is Alain Sylvain, founder and CEO of Sylvain Labs. His company helps giants like Google, Samsung and Airbnb revive their brands and develop new products by combining the best of the strategic and agency world.

Digital Fix – Fix Digital – completing the trilogy

“'Digital Fix’ as the motto of this year’s NEXT completes a trilogy for us,” said Matthias Schrader, founder of NEXT and CEO of SinnerSchrader. “We questioned ourselves as users two years ago with 'Digital Ego’. 'Digital Sucks’ addressed problems in the user experience openly last year. This year, we are taking the logical step forward and discussing how we can get back to user centring and develop more humane solutions.” NEXT is a fixed part of the Hamburg Reeperbahn Festival with more than 40,000 participants. NEXT delegates have privileged access to over 500 concerts, professional and cultural events.
