Denmark is the partner country of this year’s 56th hanseboot held in Hamburg 31 October to 8 November 2015. Germany’ northern neighbour will be showcasing not only its sailing hotspots in the North Sea and Baltic Sea, but also canoeing on inland rivers like the Gudenå. Fun sports and charters are also high on the agenda.
“No other country has such a long coastline along the North Sea and Baltic Sea and such a close proximity to many inland waters. hanseboot is the most important annual meeting place for water sports in Northern Europe. We are therefore very pleased that Denmark will be participating at the fair at this year’s partner country”, says Bernd Aufderheide, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.
Danish Companies at Hanseboot
Numerous companies from Denmark have already registered as exhibitors: Elvstrom Sails A / S, Europe’s largest sailmaker, Flexofold Aps, the yacht charter provider Jim Søferie I/S, and Quorning, the single series shipyard for trimarans in Europe. In return, hanseboot will be participating at the Silver-Rudder regatta, with 300 participants taken part in the world’s largest single-handed race held in September in Svendborg.
For nine days, the 56th International Boat Show Hamburg will be the central marketplace for 550 exhibitors. Especially beginners who want to gain first insights into sailing, powerboating or other water sports hanseboot will provide great value.
