Polyphonic Organ Tunes: Hamburg to Celebrate 1st International César Franck Days

To mark the 125th anniversary of the death of the French composer, Hamburg will host the International César Franck Days 6-8 November

In co-operation with the Academy of Music and Theatre Hamburg, the church Altona-Ost will be launching the city’s first International César Franck Days from 6-8 November 2015 on occasion of the 125-year obituary of César Franck on 8 November.

Organ Classes with Parisian Organ Professor

A key element of the César Frank Day is the interpretation course for organ works of César Franck, held on 6 and 7 November 2015 from 9.30 a.m. to until 5.30 p.m. by Prof. Michel Bouvard (Paris / Toulouse). The organ class will take place at the French symphonic organ of St. John’s cultural church Altona.

Organ Concert

The first International César Franck Days will end with an organ concert by Prof. Michel Bouvard (Paris / Toulouse) on Sunday, November 8, 2015, 5 p.m. at St John’s cultural church Altona.Bouvard will be performing the “Grande Pièce Symphonique” by César Frank, followed by the “Symphonie Romane” by Charles-Marie Widor.
