Polaris Convention latest community event for gaming and fans of Japan

"Leisure Park for Fan Culture" underway from October 28-30, 2022 in exhibition halls

The Polaris Convention is the latest e-sports and gaming event to come to Hamburg and gets underway from October 28-30, 2022 in the exhibition halls. The so-called "amusement park for fan culture" also features Asian pop culture, cosplay, fan art and a food mile. More than 250 exhibitors will stage shows, tournaments, workshops and contests. Visitors can download a a mobile app that links offline events with interactive online elements. Developers and gamers will take part in live panels, interviews and streams. 

Five themed worlds

Ninotaku, Farbenfuchs and Doktor Froid as well as Space Frogs, Lara Loft and Piet Smiet are just some of the games developers taking part in cooking contests and talks during the convention. Five different theme worlds await vistors beginning with the Cyberdome for e-sports. Various gaming manufacturers will be exhibiting in the Sandbox while Neo Taki will be all about Asian pop culture. Developers and artists will be demonstrating their skills in the Valdhaym while the Munchi Market will offer all kinds of food and drinks. 

Gaming fair and community event

The convention, organized by Hamburg Messe und Congress with the event manager Super Crowd and Hamburg's latest gaming space, RCADIA, offers visitors more than simply a gaming fair. The highlights include a drawing competition and a cosplay contest in which people dress up as a character from a film, book, or video game for the most beautiful costume.
