Industry to discuss climate protection and sustainability

1 June 2023
Event on June 14, 2023 in TU Hamburg to focus on climate policy needs of industry

Climate protection and sustainability in industry are set to top the agenda on June 14, 2023 when stakeholders in the "Alliance for the Industry of the Future" come together in the Technical University (TU) Hamburg. Under the motto of "Your climate. Your Hamburg. Your industry”, the event will feature keynotes on climate protection, energy supply and production conditions as well as a panel discussion and offer delegates plenty of time to network afterwards.

Challenges of energy transition

The think tank and lobby organisation, Agora Energiewende, will highlight the latest and upcoming  challenges to the energy transition for industry and society. Various stakeholders including Arcelor Mittal, NABU Hamburg, Hamburg University of Technology and Airbus will provide impetus for talks in short presentations. A panel discussion will focus on all the perspectives.

Bringing industry and society together

The event brings industry and society together to make the complex interrelationships between industry and climate protection understandable and to pave the way for an open discussion. Dr Melanie Leonhard, Senator for Economics, Matthias Boxberger, Chairman of the Board of the Hamburg Industrial Association, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Timm-Giel, host and President of TU Hamburg, will open the free event. Registrations are being accepted on the website.
