Hamburg Metropolitan Region looks at key issues in New Year

The mobility transition is set to top the agenda of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region's conference on January 19, 2023 in City Hall, marking the first such conference in three years. Emphasis is on cycling and building a high-speed cycling network. Mobility concepts for around half a million commuters, who travel across the metropolitan region are needed to create a "tailwind for the mobility transition".
Agenda
Dr Peter Tschentscher, Mayor of Hamburg will open the event. The prime ministers of three other north German states will give video addresses followed by a panel discussions on how to involve society in the mobility transition. Five forums will give delegates an opportunity to focus on regional cycling networks, autonomous driving, mobility management, sustainable mobility in leisure and tourism, and the social dimension of change. The regional conference gets underway from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free of charge. Members of the public can also register online for the conference until December 24, 2022.
