Hamburg Airport ranks top destinations in 2022

Majorca tops list of most popular destinations

Around 50 airlines departed for 115 national and international destinations from Hamburg Airport last year. Passengers had to transfer once only to reach over 1,000 global destinations. The Balearic island of Majorca topped the airport's list of the ten most popular holiday destinations in 2022. Hamburg Airport will operate several daily flights to Spain in summer and up to eleven per day to Majorca this year. 

Most popular destinations in 2022

Around one in five travellers visited Majorca last year followed by the Canary Islands in second place. Barcelona ranked fifth while Malaga came tenth. Turkey also proved a popular destination with Antalya and Istanbul in third and fourth place. Heraklion in Greece came eighth and Lisbon ninth. Passengers also flew to Hurghada in Egypt, which came sixth, followed by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in seventh place.
