Three investors inject six digit sum in Oak25 – firm now worth millions

The founders of the Hamburg-based Oak25 have found a strategic investor in Wald & Wiese Holding (WWH) for their bag start-up, the duo announced Tuesday (November 10, 2020). Tarek Müller, founder of About You, and the entrepreneurs Alexander Graf and Nils Seebach are among the holding's financial backers. The founders of Oak25, Jacob Leffers, 20, and Emil Woermann, 19, will now put the six-figure investment towards expanding their reflective backpacks and bag range and establishing themselves on the market.

Oak25 founded in 2018 by two students

Müller remarked: "You don't need a university degree to start a successful business, but you need above all courage, willpower and ideas. Jacob and Emil bring along these qualities and on top of that, really good products with high recognition value." Leffers and Woermann launched their label Oak25 in 2018 when they were still at school. The start-up has gone from strength to strength ever since and has notched up steady growth. Oak25 recently moved into a new office and warehouse building in downtown Hamburg and now employs five people, the founders said.
