The ZAL Innovation Days get underway Wednesday (February 27, 2019) in the Centre for Applied Aviation Research in Hamburg-Finkenwerder. More than 25 renowned speakers will focus on robotics and advanced automation at ZAL. Lectures and interactive workshops will highlight the influence of the technology on working life and in the aviation sector. The conference aims to advance common ideas for future technologies and to promote innovative thinking.
Human-machine interaction and autonomous robots
The first day will focus on human-machine collaborations and answer questions such as the extent to which robots already being used in production and maintenance processes. Which systems are suitable for aviation? Events on the second day will focus on automated and autonomous robots and how they can be used in the aerospace industry. In addition, best practice will provide insights into the application reality of autonomous systems in production and maintenance processes.
Industry leaders in Hamburg
The speakers include David Küstner, co-founder of the Hamburg-based Synergeticon, which develops software solutions in digital assistance systems, collaborative robotics and artificial intelligence. Professor Wolfgang Wahlster, CEO and Scientific Director of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Professor Norbert Elkmann of the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF – Robotic Systems and Mona Stückel, Head of Innovation Management and Product Development Engines Services at Lufthansa Technik AG, will also give keynotes.
