The new winter timetable comes into effect at Hamburg Airport on October 28, 2018 until March 30, 2019, a press release said Wednesday (October 24, 2018). Airlines are focussing on winter sun destinations and ski resorts this winter. Two destinations, Agadir and Friedrichshafen, are returning to Hamburg’s route network. Passengers will have a choice of additional airlines on another seven routes.
New destinations and airlines in route network
Two new destinations are returning to the route network. Condor is taking passengers from Hamburg with a new service to Agadir from November 6, 2018. The Moroccan port city is the ideal starting point for a beach holiday on the Atlantic coast. The flights will be operating every Tuesday. Condor has added flights to Palma de Majorca, Antalya and Jerez de la Frontera this winter as well. SUN-AIR is returning to Hamburg Airport and strengthening the domestic German market. From January 14, 2019, the airline will operate two daily flights on weekdays and one flight on Sunday to Friedrichshafen on the shores of Lake Constance. The brief 80-minute flight is ideal for business travellers.
New services to existing destinations
Passengers will also have more choice on seven routes as additional airlines add services. easyJet is resuming its popular service from Hamburg to Salzburg for the start of the winter timetable. From October 28, the airline is offering up to three flights every weekend to this ideal starting point for Austria’s nearby ski resorts. Eurowings is expanding its service to the Canary Islands with a new route to Lanzarote, served twice weekly. From November 28, 2018 until April 2019, the airline is offering three weekly flights to Innsbruck near Austria’s most beautiful skiing areas. Aeroflot is also increasing frequencies on its Moscow service from one to two flights per day for the winter. This means good onward connections for Hamburg passengers, e.g. to numerous holiday destinations in Asia such as Bangkok, Colombo, Hanoi, Seoul and Phuket.
