Hamburg Airport has launched a new digital shopping service. Called FillMyFridge.de FillMyFridge, it enables passengers to order prearranged groceries baskets for collection on arrival. The airport’s online shop concept allows passengers to choose between five sets of food ready upon their return – from a hearty supper to a fitness breakfast the next morning.

Still in Holiday Mood at Home

“We all know this situation, when we get back from a trip and the fridge is empty. The relaxed holiday mood quickly vanishes. With our new online shopping service, though, anyone can extend the holidays a little more and take home everything they need for a hearty supper or a delicious champagne breakfast in one of our FillMyFridge packages”, explains Lutz Deubel, director of centre management at Hamburg Airport.

The new digital service is aimed primarily at a mobile target group used to the ease of stress-free online shopping. A partner was found right at the airport – the EDEKA supermarket by Lars Tamme.

Five Sets of Food

There are five different packages to choose from, ranging from the basic and fitness basket to the Deluxepackage with a small bottle of sparkling wine, croissants, salmon, and North Sea prawns. There is also a FillMyFridge set for vegetarians, with a soya spread and other vegetarian products. The basic and fitness parcel costs ten euro, while the deluxe, vegetarian, and hearty variants are priced at 20 euro.
