Eurowings offering automatic baggage check-in

Ten Self Bag Drop machines now available to passengers at Hamburg Airport

Eurowings is now offering passengers the swift, effficient services of ten Self Bag Drop machines at Hamburg Airport’s Terminal 1, a press release said Friday (December 14, 2018).

Fast and flexible baggage check-in

The Self Bag Drop machines have been in operation in Hamburg Airport’s Terminal 1 since November 2017. Four stations have been set up for automatic check-in to optimize passengers’ travel experience and to save time. Passengers can check-in their luggage independently of the airline’s opening hours, usually up to 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Waiting times are avoided through independent baggage check-in.

Modern and fully automated

The vending machines service all airlines and Air France, KLM and easyJet are already using the Self Bag Drop process, with other airlines to be added over time. Due to the great popularity of the airlines, Hamburg Airport is planning to install ten more self bag drop machines in Terminal 1 by late 2018 and put them into operation in time for the 2019 summer flight schedule.
