Global leaders in aviation will present new concepts and products at the Aircraft Interiors Expo underway in Hamburg Messe from Tuesday (April 10-12, 2018). The order books, especially for short and medium-haul airliners, are full. The increased demand is reflected by more exhibition space for in-flight entertainment and connectivity and a record number of exhibitors.
Large supporting programme
The Aircraft Interiors Expo is the main feature of the “Passenger Experience Week” and kicks off with the “Passenger Experience Conference” on Monday (April 9, 2018). The leading trade show for in-flight catering, the World Travel & Catering Expo and the Passenger Technology Solutions expo focusing on IT services in aviation will be held parallel to the main exhibition in Hamburg’s fairgrounds.
Crystal Cabin Awards
The winners of the Crystal Cabin Awards will be selected on April 10, 2018 after pitching their entries during the Aircraft Interiors Expo. A total of 24 products and concepts are among this year’s finalists and include the new A380 First Class by Singapore Airlines, printed electrical wiring and an environment-friendly water tap by British students. The Crystal Cabin Award, initiated by the cluster Hamburg Aviation, is awarded in eight categories. The coveted, snow-white awards will be presented during a gala dinner in Hotel Atlantic Kempinski on Tuesday. Information about the finalists will be available at a special exhibition in the Crystal Cabin Award Gallery (Hall B3, 1st floor). There, all the winners will present their innovations in person at 11 am on Thursday (April 12, 2018) and will be available for questions and interviews later.
