7th International Workshop on Aircraft System Technologies

Lectures on aircraft systems, equipment, cabin technology and comfort top agenda

Trends in aviation research are set to take centre stage at the 7th International Workshop on Aircraft System Technologies 2019 (AST 2019) underway in Hamburg from February 19-20, 2019. Around 150 aviation industry experts from research departments at universities and companies are expected to attend the two-day event at the Hotel Hafen Hamburg.

Knowledge transfer

“The workshop has developed into a respected platform for knowledge transfer in aviation and is a permanent fixture of the industry’s series of international events in Hamburg as an aviation centre,” said Prof. Dr.-Ing. Otto von Estorff of the Technical University of Hamburg (TUHH). The acoustics expert and head of the Institute of Modelling and Calculation, and his colleague Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Thielecke from the Institute of Aircraft Systems Technology at TUHH are both chairing the workshop, which is being held in co-operation with the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Toulouse.

Exciting insights

Participants will gain detailed insight into the system and component status of several a aviation areas. Aspects of the present fields of application and future research and development issues top the agenda. The organisers hope to stimulate new research directions and an intense exchange between industrial partners and research institutions. Companies and institutions that wish to present their abstracts at the exhibition or at a sponsoring event at AST 2019 can submit their abstracts by September 15, 2018.
