Otto Group launches data-driven advertising start-up

Headquartered in Hamburg, the Otto Group is entering the data-driven advertising business to focus on user-based marketing and advertising-space selection

The Otto Group is entering the data-driven advertising business in the current financial year. Otto Group Media, the newly-founded 100 per cent Group company, is to focus on user-based marketing and advertising-space selection. To do this, Otto appointed renowned industry expert Torsten Ahlers as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

User-specific Campaign

Through Otto Group Media, advertisers will soon be able to deploy their branding campaigns user-specifically and with state-of-the-art technology in high-value, high-reach environments. Otto Group Media will be presenting itself for the first time to sector professionals at dmexco in Cologne, the leading trade fair in Europe for digital marketing.

Torsten Ahlers explains: “We are currently setting up a professional team that is well-known in the market. This is a team that from the very beginning will have a reputation for high quality and good market contacts. We are convinced that the Otto Group, as a data and website owner with excellent reach, has the best cards to play a definitive role in data-driven advertising.”
