In the past ten years, the CFK Valley Stade Convention established itself as an important platform for both developers and users in the growing field of carbon fiber reinforced plastics. Since 2007, more than 3,000 trade participants from around the world, attended the 1.5-day expert forum. This year, guests from 22 nations registered for the industry event. One of its strength is the particularly high rate of new business contacts, 92 per cent of participants said in a survey conducted after the 2015 convention. They also positively emphasised the strong knowledge transfer, the high-caliber technical presentations, and the international networking
International Networking Made Easy
To respond to the increased international networking of the industry, Korea has been named partner country of the 2016 convention. Dr. Gunnar Merz, CEO of the CFK Valley e.V,. is particularly pleased with the commitment of Korea and the expansion of international co-operation. “Innovations do not stop at national borders. We claim to be a leading global network. Globalisation thus plays a major role”, thus Dr. Merz, when referring to the recently founded networks “CFK Valley Japan” (2014) and “CFK Valley Belgium” (2015).
2016’s Theme: “Carbon & Mobility”
Innovative Plastics, intelligent materials, and cutting-edge lightweight construction concepts will be the focal theme of next year’s convention. Titled “Carbon & Mobility”, lectures, talks, and the accompanying exhibition will thus address the motto across sectors, i.e. transportation (automotive, e-mobility, rail transport, aviation, etc.), healthcare, sports & leisure, engineering & automation.
