Hamburg‘s investment and development bank issues bearer bonds

Additional funding for the promotion of innovation and business development provided.

On 1 August 2013, Hamburg‘s investment and development bank IFB was officially launched. The demand and response of the local economy shows that the IFB is on the right course. In IFB‘s new business division “business and innovation support“, some 150 companies benefited from the consultancy of IFB‘s pilot on funding schemes. Also well received was the newly launched Hamburg credit to help small and medium-sized enterprises with loans amounting to some seven million euro granted to far.

Now, bearer bonds have been issued by IFB for the very first time. These bonds have been launched to finance both business projects and innovative visions. The demand for funding schemes in the field of housing remained unchanged and positively stable. Also in 2014, grants or loans for the construction and modernisation of rental apartments and homes are high in demand.
