“350 companies for 350 projects”: is the claim of a new charity platform launched by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce on occasion of its 350th anniversary. The “Gemeinbörse Hamburg – A shared Social Responsibility” helps companies from the Hamburg Metropolitan Region to find partners in the field of social, environmental, cultural, sports, health, and education projects.
Companies can register for free. In addition to funding, companies are also able to contribute to public welfare by offering knowledge, time, goods and services via the platform. According to Chamber of Commerce, the appropriate partner perfectly fitting a project in regard to mission, size, and funds can thus be found on the platform.
Increasing Social Responsibility
The symbolic start button was pressed by Fritz Horst Melsheimer, president of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, State Council Dr. Rolf Bösinger and Corinna Steffen, Chairman of the Social Responsibility Working Group at the so-called “First Hands-On Day On Social Responsibility – Opportunities For companies From Small To Large”. The social welfare day and welfare cards are part of the chamber’s “Hamburg 2030” project, which also aims at strengthening corporate social responsibility.
