On occasion of the 15-year anniversary, Hamburg’s Lord Mayor Olaf Scholz praised the successful work of the private university, which was founded as Germany’s first private university for jurisprudence in Hamburg in the year 2000.
Top Position in CHE Ranking of Universities
Olaf Scholz: “The Bucerius Law School is not the antithese of the classic legal education, but formulates an ideal. This makes the school as strong competitor and a landmark in the landscape of institutions of higher education. It is very good for Hamburg to be home to one of the world’s best training programmes for lawyers.” The university, thus Scholz, offers orientation, encouragement and enrichment for Hamburg as a place of knowledge. “We want that Hamburg’s universities to play a leading role both nationally and internationally. The Bucerius Law School ihas already reached this goal. Internationalism is its central component.” IN 2014, the Bucerius Law School was once again recognised as the best of all German law schools by the prestigious CHE university ranking.
