Hamburg Tourism Board launches Event-App

More than 6,000 events per month are listed on the app launched by the Hamburg Tourism Board. A so-called "culture alarm clock" will remind the user of earmarked events

“Events Hamburg”, the new app of Hamburg Tourismus GmbH (HHT), delivers exactely what the name promises: 6,000 events each month, held at 4,000 locations in the Hamburg Metropolitan Area. In co-operation with the Hamburg Ministry of Culture and Hamburg Marketing GmbH, HHT now officially launched the application.

Add your own Event

As unique special feature is the so-called “cultural alarm clock”, which reminds the app users of events bookmarked or added. Thus, tickets are bought on time and events will no longer be missed.

The app itself is based on the event database of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, created, implemented and serviced on behalf of the Hamburg Senate by the Hamburg Tourism Board (HHT). Both small and large institutions are invited to add their event and list it for free in, for instance, culture or sports. The data base will thus improve the visibility and bookability of cultural offer in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region.

Sports Included

In keeping with the bid to host the Summer Games in 2024, sports events of the Hamburg metro region have been integrated into the data base. Co-operation partner in the field of sports content are the Hamburg Sports Confederation and DOSB New Media. The new events app is available free of charge for iOS and Android in standard app stores or online at “www.hh-events.de”: http: //hh-events.de.
