Hamburg Marketing GmbH launched a 360-degree online platform Wednesday to raise Hamburg’s national and international profile. The platform offers a wonderful panorama of the Hanseatic from many unusual angles. Visitors can experience Hamburg individually and see special places and Hanseatic landmarks on www.rundum.hamburg.
Map at heart of platform
The idea is to give people emotional views of the city. The 360-degree technology allows users to explore a place and choose their own, personal perspective. A map on which all the recordings are located is central to the platform – the first of its kind. New content is produced continually and in co-operation with partners, who can also embed the map and recordings on their own web pages.
Individual tour possible
The videos are as diverse as the city itself. They range from a poetry slam on the Elbe river beach, behind the scenes at Hamburg Airport and to a helicopter flight. Markers in the recordings allow users to “jump” from one place to another and go on their own individual tour of Hamburg.
Bruno Fenzl developed (brunofenzl.com) the web site and the videos have been produced by Karl Köhler (aufsprung.media), realTV (www.realtvgroup.com) and SpiceVR (spicevr.com).
