99 Favourite Spots In The Hamburg Metro Region

New brochure presents great ideas for excursions for nature lovers

Under the motto “99 Favourite Places In The Green”, the Hamburg Metropolitan Region starts the excursion season 2015. In the historic pump room of Hamburg’s city park, three experienced guides presented great spots for tours and revealed their favourite places.

Experts As Inspiration

The brochure features places to relax, enjoy and experience, and gives ideas for excursions to beautiful forests and fragrant gardens, lush green meadows and reed-fringed moors. The office of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, the Hamburg Marketing GmbH and 20 regional tourism organisations researched the area’s most beautiful places in the countryside by asking nature guides and gardeners, photographers, foresters and traveling professionals.

Hamburg – One Of Europe’s Greenest Cities

On 60 pages, they now reveal their favourite green places. Included are historical monastery parks and gardens as well as precious mystical moors and wet meadows. The Hanseatic city is not only a city on the water, but also one with 124 km² of green spaces. This makes Hamburg not only the greenest city of Germany, but als of Europe.

The free brochure is complemented online by detailed descriptions of the favorite places, including travel and restaurant recommendations. The brochure is available at all regional tourism information centres and online at: www.metropolregion.hamburg.de/lieblingsplatz.
