German Renewables Award Open For Applications

Innovations and ideas wanted in the field of renewable energies

From rotor blade heaters to innovative offshore projects:over the past three years, the EEHH Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster has been honouring pioneering achievements in wind energy with the German Renewables Award. Now, interested parties can apply for the “Product Innovation of the Year”, “Project of the Year” and “Student Work of the Year” as well as being nominated for the category “Lifetime Achievement” until 5 June 2015

Award Ceremony At Five-Year Gala

The award ceremony will take place during the five-year anniversary of the EEHH at the Empire Riverside Hotel Hamburg on 3 December 2015, respectively. The awards for “Product Innovation of the Year”, “Project of the Year” and “Lifetime Achievement” include a certificate, trophy and a year of free entry to all events organized by EEHH as the sole organizer. For the “Student Work of the Year” (Bachelor, Master or Diploma thesis) there is also a cash prize of 5,000 euro. “In the last three years, we have been surprised by the number of submissions to the German Renewables Award. Companies have proposed smart ideas, marketable innovations, and outstanding projects. Outstanding persons of the renewable energy sector have been nominated for their life’s work.This year, the contest’s fourth edition will even be more attactive, as it will take play a key role in the cluster’s five-year anniversary celebrations”, says Jan Rispens, CEO of EEHH

On The EEHH Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster

Northern Germany play a key role in the German energy transition, with the Hamburg Metropolitan Region being the centre of clean energy production, transmission and related research. Here, 25,000 people are working in the field of regenerative energy. To strengthen and promote co-operation in the sector, the EEHH Renewable Energy Hamburg Cluster was set up. It works to pool the wide-ranging skills among companies, research facilities and institutions. It also provides a platform for dialogue among stakeholders, and promotes interfaces to other sectors, such as logistics.
