Also this year, Berlin’s ITB and Cruise Shipping Miami form the exhibition openers of the global cruise industry. The Hamburg Cruise Center (HCC) shows Hamburg’s colours at major trade shows all over the world.
Cruise: Hamburg’s Focus At ITB Berlin
With cruise as 2015’s theme at Hamburg’s ITB stand, the Hamburg Tourismus GmbH HHT), visitberlin, and HCC jointly invited shipping lines representatives, agents, and Hamburg-based industry players for the third cruise breakfast at Berlin’s Zoo Palace. In addition, the HCC teamed up with inHHT and CLIA Germany to host a conference presentation on “cruise markets: destinations and ports readiness”. Nearly 100 participants attended the panel discussion with Frank Horch, Hamburg Minister of Economicy, Transport and Innovation, Michael Ungerer (AIDA Cruises President), Dr. Jörg Rudolph (General Manager, RCL Cruises Ltd for Germany, Austria and Switzerland), Michael Zengerle (Managing Director MSC Cruises) and Captain Michael McCarthy (Chairman Cruise Europe).

Until Thursday: Hamburg At Cruise Shipping Miami
At this year’s Cruise Shipping Miami, Cruise Gate Hamburg GmbH and HCC will promote Hamburg until Thursday, 19 March, under the umbrella of Destination Germany. The more than 900 trade fair exhibitors from 127 countries expect some 12,000 trade visitors for attend the fair, seeking information on trends, opportunities and latest offers for the cruise industry.
Together with the other German cruise ports, HCC will host the traditional German ports night at Miami’s Ritz Carlton, where once again representatives of shipping companies, the international press, and representatives of CLIA Global and CLIA Europe will be welcomed.
