To meet global change with innovative solutions is also the challenge successfully tackled by the winner of the Future Prize in Logistics. In 2014, TTT The Team Composite AG from Stade convinced the jury of the Logistics Initiative Hamburg with its ultra lightweight frigo trailer made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). Granted for the fifth time in 2015, the award is not limited to technical or technological innovations. Forward-looking infrastructure projects and customer-focused product innovations are also in focus.
Impetus for an innovative logistics
“Small and medium-sized enterprises are not often aware of how innovative they operate in order to meet the constant changes”, says Dr. Jürgen Glaser, attorney at the Süderelbe AG and head of the Logistics Initiative Hamburg, office south. With the Future Price Logistics, the Logistics Initiative Hamburg aims to make innovative approaches from the region nationally known and to provide impetus for a future-oriented, sustainable logistics. Moreover, the price promotes co-operation among businesses and with academic partners of the region.
Ceremony in September
Companies wishing to apply for the award should submit their entries by 1 August 2015. The prize-giving gala will take place on 21 September at the Hotel Lindtner in Hamburg Harburg, with Prof Dr Peer Witten, Chairman of the Logistics Initiative Hamburg, handing the awards to the winners.
