Investments of over EUR 70 million in Dräger’s “factory of the future” and its logistics centre indicate a clear commitment to Lübeck and generally to Germany as a production centre, according to entrepreneur Stefan Dräger. Now that the production staff has relocated, Dräger takes stock.

The medical technology company employs over13, 000 staff worldwide and has representatives in 190 countries. The company is one of the biggest employers in Schleswig-Holstein with over 5,000 employees in the metropolitan region. Stefan Dräger, Chairman of the Executive Board of Dräger Medical Verwaltungs AG, talks to Hamburg News in an interview about the company’s new forward-looking factory in Lübeck and the 127-year history of Drägerwerk – part two in our series about leading world companies from the Hamburg Metropolitan Region.

You can read the interview and more economic reports from the Hamburg Metropolitan Region in our newsletter. We inform you daily and up-to-date in both English and German on www.hamburg-news.hamburg.
