Dear reader, LinkedIn Twitter Xing

Final preparations are underway in Hamburg for the OSCE Ministerial Council Meeting on Thursday and Friday. Then, Hamburg will be the centre of world media attention following a decision by Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, chair of the OSCE this year. He chose the city as the venue based on Hamburg’s “cosmopolitanism, tolerance and international networking”. Steinmeier noted: “We wish to build bridges, boost dialogue and promote greater inclusion of civil society in the OSCE’s discussion and decision-making processes.” Hamburg is exactly the right place for the summit.

This news and other topics from Hamburg and its metropolitan region will be featured in this week’s edition of our newsletter.
