Hamburg’s SPD-Green coalition in senate is boosting Hamburg as a location of science and innovation and is planning a new research building at the Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services (CML). The German government and the city of Hamburg will each bear a quarter of the total EUR 20 million costs while the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) will pay the other half. Construction could begin in 2019.
