Modern airline cabins are important and shape the passenger’s experience at first glance. Positive experiences are crucial to customers’ relationship with that airline and help boost loyalty. And the cabin also has to endure extreme environmental stress without damage. Thus, two of six research fields or technical domains (TDs) at the newly opened Centre for Applied Research in Aviation (ZAL) will focus on providing new solutions for airline cabins. The international Crystal Cabin Awards also aim to boost aircraft interior innovations. The awards will be presented in Hamburg on April 5, 2016.
