Universities, colleges and research institutes across Hamburg are set to host UniPitch 2017 on November 16 in Forum Finkenau at the University of Applies Sciences (HAW). The contest gives start-ups an opportunity to present their business ideas and is open to students, academics and graduates, who completed their study courses no more than five years ago.
Experienced founders set examples
The programme consists of “UniPitch Challenge, 1:1- Coachings for Participants”, workshops and a prototype fair. Unlike previous events, a qualifying event for the UniPitch will be held in the Startup Dock at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). Participants have until October 15, 2017 to send a video highlighting their business ideas. Five out of the 12 best entries will qualify for the final of UniPitch.
This year’s event includes a new session called “Pitching by Example” in addition to workshops on personal branding and ways of winning over investors. Outstanding products will be chosen during the simultaneous prototype fair.
