Reeperbahn Festival with Excellent Start

Germany's largest club festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary until 26 September. Mobile app provides information on all events

From 23 to 26 September, the organisers of the Reeperbahn Festivals will be offering to their guests a varied programme with thematic sessions, networking event,s and gigs by newcomers and talents on the rise. On the event’s homepage “https: //www.reeperbahnfestival.com/de/timetable, all events are listed in a timetable, allowing a quick overview and stopping from getting lost in the wealth of concerts and events offered by Germany’s largest club festival. A complete agenda is also provided by the free app. it is also possible to set up one’s own festival programme and synchronise it with the mobile app. The app is available for the Android and iOS.

Young Hamburg Companies at Startups @ Reeperbahn Pitch

On Wednesday, 23 September, and the very first day of the festival, two Hamburg startups will be defending their business idea at the Startups @ Reeperbahn Pitch. Skybus and figo will be competing against three other finalists in order to convince more than 60 investors and investment managers of their business idea or project. The winner will be honoured with the SPIEGEL ONLINE MEDIA Award and take home a prize money of 100,000 euro linked to the first prize. The winner will be selected by, inter alia, the judges Katharina Borchert (CEO Spiegel Online) and Chris Barton (co-founder Shazam).

Ten Years of Reeperbahn Festival

On all four days of the festival, the exhibition “” Ten “: https://www.reeperbahnfestival.com/de/festival/zehn-die-ausstellung—1” will be shown, telling the exciting story of the festival in form of an installation set up by Kathrin Hunze and Naomi Eckert. The two students of the department of design at HAW Hamburg used images, texts, posters, and T-shirts of past festival years as elements to revive the festival atmosphere and its unique experiences and situations.

500 Concerts

Finally, also the line-up for the music programme is complete.Comprising some 50 concerts, visitors will be able to enjoy a wide selection of music of all genres, ranging from melancholic synth pop to electro-pop and urban pop. At all festival days, also the live radio show NDR Backstage Blue will be broadcasted, showcasing festival guests along with the latest gigs. The programme will be broadcasted on NDR Blue, which can be enjoyed also on digital radio and the Internet.
