“See, Create, Talk and Pary”: the claim of festival PLAY 15, taking place from 15-19 September with 150 events throughout Hamburg also serves as an overview for the different aspects of the computer gaming festival. In exhibitions, workshops, talks, game-jams, performances, the two-day conference and many other events, PLAY 15 will show the connection of arts, science, education, economy, politics and games.
The Great Emotions of Games
This year, PLAY 15 will focus on emotions – how digital games ignite emotions, what emotions players feel, and what emotions mean to artificial intelligence. Festival venues include the Alsterdamm School of Visual Arts, Terrace Hill, SAE Institute, Metropolis Kino, Bigpoint, Mercedes me Store, the Innovation campus of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, the club Uebel & Gefährlich, Ohnsorg Theatre and the Hamburg Museum of Arts and Crafts.
First Creative Gaming Award
For the very first time, PLAY 15 will be granting the new Creative Gaming Award, honouring the best digital games from all over Europe. An expert jury will be evaluating the 100 entries submitted from 20 countries prior to granting the new award on 19 September at 8 p.m. at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Hamburg.
