Hamburg Innovation Awards: Call For Applications

Start-ups invited to hand in projects. Winners to be named at the Hamburg Innovation Summit in summer

Technology-oriented start-ups wanted: application for the Hamburg Innovation Awards is now open to start-ups from the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. New and innovative business ideas will be recognised in the three categories “idea”, “start” and “growth”.

Experts To Evaluate Future Hamburg Companies

Experts from industry and academia will give candidates the opportunity to have their business ideas checked and evaluated. Their Feedback opens the way to advice and support for these start-up. The “idea” category is aimed at young start-ups that are still in an early phase creating a new service or product. Companies that have entered the market at a maximum of five years ago are invited tu submit their product in the “start” category. Established companies will be selected and nominate for the “growth” by partner institutes of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). The application period closes 10 April 2015.

Award Ceremony At The Hamburg Innovation Summit In June

The Hamburg Innovation Awards are part of the Hamburg Innovation Summit (HHIS), which will take place 4 June 2015 at an historic warehouse in the Inner Port of Harburg. Next to a prize money of 3,000 euro, the top five winners will be given the opportunity to present their business with a booth at the Hamburg Innovation Summit.

Getting To Know Innovative Ideas For The Future

HHIS will focus on showcasing new ideas and business models. Thus, 400 start-ups and specialists from industry, politics, and science have been invited to experience innovation in conferences and exhibitions. The HHIS will be organised by the Innovation & Development Bank Hamburg (IFB) in co-operation with the Hamburg Ministry of Economy, Transport and Innovation (BWVI), FUTURE CANDY, hit Technopark, TuTech, Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH, ) and the Economic Club of Hamburg’s South. The project is monitored by the TUHH Startup dock.
