Accelerator programmes are on everybody’s lips these days as such programmes speed up the implementation of original start-up ideas and drive rapid growth. While the programmes differ, apart from the seed financing, the accelerators have the big, added advantage of networks to supply start-ups with contacts. Mentors offer their know how and push the business ideas forward. Providers of such programmes secure shares in the start-up in return for their efforts.
The interaction between accelerator programmes and participating start-ups illustrates the growing importance of knowledge collaboration across all sectors. Each programme focuses on sectors ranging from media to aviation. nextMedia.Hamburg presents five here in Hamburg News.
