The second “Digital Advisory Board Summit” will be held in Hamburg on February 1, 2017 under the theme “Transformation instead of Digital Frustration” by Cribb human resources consulting, the company announced in late November. The event targets entrepreneurs and digital experts. Last year, around 140 decision-makers in DAX and MDAX mid-sized companies attended the event.
Dwight Cribb, Managing Director of Cribb, said: “The issue of digital transformation has been omnipresent for the past two years and several companies have developed a digital agenda. Nevertheless, start-up labs and new professions such as chief digital officers and new business models have yet to be successful. Our summit creates a platform for swopping experiences so that companies do not fall prey to digital actionism.” Tobias Ködel, Head of Leadership 2020, will open the conference and present an initiative to change management and company culture at Daimler AG. Dominik Grau, Chief Innovation Officer at Ebner Media Group, will illustrate how a 200-year-old publishing company has transformed successfully and disruptively and offering a blueprint for other companies.
Knowledge transfer between start-ups and companies
Focus will also be on the obstacles to transformation such as the relevance of chief digital officers. Dr. Anna Zeiter, Head of Data Protection EMEA at eBay International AG, will give a talk on the relevance of data. Two panel discussions on knowledge transfer between start-ups and companies and the right corporate culture for digital change will be held with Kerstin Hartmann, Head of d.lab at Deutsche Bahn, Christian Hoppe, Managing Director of the main incubator at Commerzbank, and Paul Jozefak, Managing Director of the Otto Group Digital Services. Two more sessions will focus on leadership models and methods of innovation for transformation. The one-day event will conclude with an informal talk called “Too big to transform”.
