Students, graduates, and young professionals of the creative industries are invited to submit their works to the ADC’s young talent contest and to have them evaluated by an expert jury. The works will be exhibited and honoured with awards at next year’s ADC Festival 2016, taking place in Hamburg 20 -. 24 April 2016.
The ADC Young Talent Contest 2016 will be directed by Heinrich Paravicini, ADC director of the design department and creative director. “The ADC Young Talent Contest is the benchmark for excellence of new ideas – and perfect for promoting oneself”, says Paravicine, also owner of the agency Mutabor Design GmbH ist. To stand out from the crowd, Paravicini says, it is best to break rules or set up new ones. “Soon, there will be no longer advertising agencies, online agencies, and design agencies, but only agencies with excellent ideas, skills, and staff. Agencies working on new tasks, for new generations and media. That’s what it is all about.“
Three Years of Job Experience instead of Two
Key categories of the Young Talent Contest are communication design, audiovisual communication, Craft, editorial, and vanguard design. Semester, graduate, and works from work, published or produced from 1 Dezember 2014 to 30 November 2015 can be submitted. This year, there are some innovations for young professionals. Young creatives from agencies and companies are allowed to have three instead of only two years of professional experience to participate with their practical work in the competition.
The campaign for the ADC Young Talent Contest along with further creative contests in the eve of the festival, and the festival itself is a brainchild of the highly awarded agency Grabarz & Partner. “With Grabarz & Partner, we were able to win one the most innovative and creative agencies in the German speaking market for our campaign”, says ADC president Stephan Vogel. Main sponsor of the ADC Young Talent Contest is Weischer Media. The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg also funds the ADC festival and contest.
