North German health management at Arab Health 2016

Arab Health is world's second largest health care exhibition and medical congress with over 4,000 exhibitors, 90,000 visitors

Around 60 north German companies, clinics and institutes from Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania attended the Arab Health 2016 in Dubai from January 25-29. Twenty-nine companies had a joint stand, organized by Life Science Nord. Their attendance was also supported by BioCon Valley, the Chamber of Commerce Hamburg, WTSH, Hamburg Tourism and the Hamburg Ministry of Health and Consumer Protection.

Flying visit to Dräger

A visit by a delegation to the free trade zone Dubai Healthcare City proved another highlight of the congress. Participants visited an academic training centre and a subsidiary of the Dräger medical technology group from Lübeck located there. This year, Elke Badde, State Secretary in the Hamburg Ministry of Health and Consumer Protection, and Prof. Dr. Hans-Jörg Schmidt-Trenz, Chief Executive Officer, Hamburg Chamber of Commerce were among the delegates.
