In the Chinese calendar, 2015 is the year of the goat – considered to be a very stubborn animal. Organisers of the Year of the Goat Festival on Tuesday, 8 September 2015, are focussing on stubbornness when it comes to people, too, in particular when it comes to digital transformation. In order to overcome their “inner goat”, visitors to the event will learn about change, innovation, and above all transformation in the digital area, with keynote addresses and workshops.
Transformation is Everywhere
Speakers include Fernando Machado, Global Brand Manager at Burger King, Anders Sundt-Jensen, Head of Marketing at Volkswagen, and Kucklick, Editor-in-Chief at GEO. The different fields of business were deliberately chosen to allow transformation processes to be considered in as many areas as possible – whether business, art, or sport.
Your Innermost “Goat”
“The goat hiding in everyone of us resists change, because it wants things to remain as they are. At this conference, we expect you to challenge this mindset and confront your own, inner goat.” The idea behind the Year of the Goat will be explored in around 30 workshops, talks and lectures. The festival will conclude music and drinks.
Further Festivals in Frankfurt and London
For tickets to the Year of the Goat Festival, visitors need to register on the event website. As well as the event in Hamburg, there will also be festivals in Frankfurt and in London at the end of this year and the start of next year. The organisers have produced a four-minute advertising film, in which a man has to overcome his own inner goat – in a less metaphorical way than expected.
