World Publishing Expo returns to Hamburg

Leading newspaper and news publishing fair held 5-7 October 2015 in the Hanseatic city

World Publishing Expo, the leading international newspaper and media industry fair, is returning to Hamburg after five years of absence. From 5 to 7 October 2015, the Hamburg fair grounds will be the international networking platform for policy makers of the global news media industry.

Creative capital

Hamburg is Germany’s number one creative media location. It is home to media companies of all sizes. Hamburg is also one of the leading media, IT and creative industry centres on an international scale, employing over 100,000 people in more than 23,000 companies in these sectors. The city has a long tradition with leading organisations in the media, digital and classic publishing industries, working in close contact with one another.

Hub of international media

Internationally prominent publications such as Der Spiegel, Die Zeit and Stern are made in Hamburg, and news formats such as Tagesschau and Tagesthemen are produced here. The publishers Axel Springer Verlag, Bauer Media Group, Gruner + Jahr, Ganske Verlagsgruppe, and news agencies such as Deutsche Presseagentur have their offices in Hamburg; and international corporations of the New Economy such as Google, Facebook and Xing have their German headquarters in Hamburg.

Organised by WAN-IFRA, the World Publishing Expo will be held 5-7 October 2015 on 18,000 square metres of exhibition space in Halls A1 and A4.
