Webfuture Award: Application Period Extended

Entrepreneurs from Hamburg are invited to submit their applications for the Webfuture Award by 7 May 2015. In 2015, the prize will be awarded for the eighth time

With the Webfuture Award, the industry initiative nextMedia.Hamburg has been honouring young entrepreneurs from the digital and media industry for eight years. This year, the prize-giving gala will take place at Hamburg’s startup centre betahaus on 27 May 2015, with the winners benefitting from the attendance and attention of the trade press.

Prize Money And Mentorship

Prior to the prize giving ceremony, the ten best candidates will be invited to present their ideas and business models at a “Business Idea Speed ​​Dating” lasting five minutes. The jury, consisting of entrepreneurs, industry experts and investors, will rate the pitches and select the best three. This year, a total of 8,000 euro will be granted to the winners, with the champion taking home 5,000 euro for the first prize. Next to the money, the winner will receive a free mentorship by PR Newswire, a public relations subsidiary of the German press agency “Deutsche Presse-Agentur” (dpa).

Participation is open to all startups that have been formed within the last two years in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region or plan to launch their new business in the area.
