Some 850 exhibitors from all over the world will present their offers for the upcoming season when Reisen Hamburg opens its doors from Wednesday to Sunday (February 8-12, 2017). On offer are trips to exotic destinations, leisure trips in north Germany, cruises on the high seas, ebike tours and caravanning offers. Spain is the partner of this year’s travel fair, which will also focus on travel photography and camping. Visitors can get a first taste of holidays and adventure in workshops and lectures taking place in ten halls.
Flamenco shows and sherry tastings
The main Spanish show will be in Hall 5 where tourist experts will offer insider tips for their sunny country. Performances of flamenco and sherry tastings are likely to prove big draws. Thousands of other destinations from the Cook Islands to Sylt will highlight all kinds of leisure and adventure opportunities. Bavaria is to become the first-ever German partner region at the fair. Diverse exhibitors will be recommending Allgäu, Chiemsee, the Bavarian Forest and the Franconia Lake District and mountain air.
Expanded cruise ship area
Workshops focusing on travel photography will also be offered during the fair. Participants can learn landscape photography and how to take better pictures of people and experiences. Visitors can also test cameras and go hunting for motives e.g. on safari as special trips for amateur photographers are also being offered. Bloggers will report about their unusual trips and offers such as city rallies and murder mystery trips. Visitors can go aboard ships in the expanded cruise ship area and enjoy the poolside bar and show. Big shipping companies, ferries and cruise trip providers will present their latest routes and ships.
Test course for ebikes
Reisen Hamburg also has a growing number of cruise and caravanning offers in three halls with attractions for newcomers ranging from beginner caravans to luxury vehicles as well as parts and vehicles by all the well-known producers. To capture the unique atmosphere of camping, the themed areas “Camping by night” and “Camping and Sea” will be on show in Hall B1 to offer an enhanced experience. In a darkened area of the hall, caravans and tents with illuminated interiors will create a pleasant, evening-like outdoor atmosphere. Cyclists can try out ebikes on a test track. An infotainment programme will offer tips and tales by long distance bikers through Europe, Asia and Africa. The General German Bicylcling Club (ADFC) and specialist providers will also be on hand to give information about enjoyable bike tours in many regions.
